If you have a higher profile carpet that is plush and padded (like we do) you need to lay a solid surface down to make it firm. Wide seams between the tiles can create slight depressions in the vinyl flooring. Other than installing a carpet without glue, you can remove the laminate flooring. Laminate flooring is exactly suitable flooring to be installed over carpet, so you are again advised not to install it.
